Consumer Directed Attendant Care
Consumer Directed Attendant Care (CDAC) services allows people to live in their own homes while receiving personalized services to ensure independence. It is part of the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver program, which allows Medicaid recipients to find and hire their in-home care. This program is available for persons with disabilities and to qualify, you must meet the income and disability criteria. ResourceFull Unlimited offers a wide range of CDAC services that are specific to the members being served. These services are included but are not limited to the following:
• Homemaker Services: Qualified staff assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and household management.
• Respite Care: Temporary relief for primary caregivers, allowing them to take breaks from their caregiving responsibilities.
• Independent Living Skills Training: Assistance in acquiring and enhancing skills required for independent living.
• Medication Management: Guidance and oversight to ensure individuals take their medications as prescribed.
• Community Integration: Support to engage in community activities, social interactions, and recreational opportunities.
• Transportation Assistance: Help with getting to medical appointments, shopping, and other essential destinations.
• Behavioral Support: Assistance in managing challenging behaviors and developing coping strategies

Intake & Referral Process
You or your loved one should communicate with your insurance provider to acquire a CDAC provider. Once ResourceFull Unlimited is selected, a qualified staff submit our intake application to you or your case manager. Once the intake application is completed, our staff will review and follow up with comments or questions. If the decision is made that the member would be a good fit for the program, then an appointment is scheduled to complete the necessary documentation for eligibility and approval for our CDAC program. CDAC support is ongoing, and we offer daily, weekly, or monthly services. Please note that CDAC is a non-medical service and the member must be 18 years of age or older.
